Ok there's this site I use: iStock.ru... with a selection of free images released under creative commons...

Turns out some of those images hadn't been submitted by their respective owners... but had been lifted from here.

Who naturally were a bit pissed off after discovering my gallery...and accused me of nicking them. Which makes no sense really, since it would be a dumb thing to do and since I joined here well after I created said derivative works.

Anyway, the images have been pulled [sorry to anyone who added them] and the problem has been reported to the site managers [although I'm not holding my breath over that]. Either way, not going to use anything from there again.

But that leaves me wondering if any of the other bases in my collection are stolen... and whom else is going to accuse me of theft.

I rather think I may well just not post anything more. I don't need the hassle.
